The Arabic letter ra is pronounced r just like in English.

The Arabic letter ra is a sun letter. That means that the l in al is assimilated with ra and thereby pronounced as r In other words: The definite article for words that start with ra is pronounced ar, and not al.

Items needed:

  • Red and yellow or nude coloured paper
  • Bubble wrap
  • Double sided tape/glue
  • Red paint stick
  1. Cut a pomegranate shape out of the red paper, cut a circle from the second coloured paper, finally cut the bubble wrap
  2. Stick the papers together and the bubble wrap on top
  3. Use the paint stick to colour the bubble wrap
